# Playing music from the lock screen

> Lock screen and notification controls depend on your phone and browser with Melophrase.

On supported phones, when Melophrase is playing, you may see **song info** and **play / pause** (and sometimes **skip**) on the **lock screen** or in the **notification area**. That is handled by your **phone and browser** together; not every device shows the same buttons.
